COVID -19 Cleaning Protocols

Now that we are open we want our guests to know that their health and safety are of the utmost importance. For this reason we are implementing all the recommended cleaning and guest safety protocols for the hospitality industry as recommended by the BC Centre for Disease Control. In addition we will be including 360 degree disinfection coverage with Electrostatic Spraying Technology. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

This small cozy property is set in the picturesque town of Radium Hot Springs where the flowers and the scenery are as plentiful as the big horn sheep that call it home. The Gateway is located on Highway 93, just a short 5 minutes from the entrance of Kootenay National Park and it’s world famous Radium Hot Springs. With spectacular mountain views overlooking the Columbia Valley, an afternoon can easily slip away relaxing in the warm sun. We take pride in providing reasonably priced accommodation, exceptionally clean rooms and superior guest service.

All units offer air-conditioning and wireless Internet access. We have a range of rooms to meet your needs. Our rooms are the cleanest in the valley, 100% NON-SMOKING and exceptionally comfortable. Wonderful Motel

This motel was very clean, and great for families. With the amenities that it offered, it was a great base lodging for exploring the Kootenay National Park. We would definitely recommend it, and will stay there again!

Perfect Choice

This motel is a gem! We are tenters but fair weather ones. The weather was inclement so we decided to motel it for the night. The proprietor was friendly, not pushy or overbearing. Our room was immaculate and very well equipped with a kitchenette, sofa, small table and two chairs and everything one would need to prepare and serve a meal to a family of four. Sink, stove dishes etc. were all like new. The room was on the main floor and very quiet and, although it was on the main road to the Hot Springs, it was extremely quiet. We would definitely recommend the Gateway.

Refillable soap dispensers
100% recycled paper products used.
Installing shower savers, toilet tank savers and low voltage light bulbs.
Renovating building to become more energy efficient.
Recycling, Reducing, Reusing, and Repairing throughout the lodge.

Help us by doing your part

Please use green recycling bins whenever possible; ensure items are rinsed, crushed and place in bin.
(Note: You can recycle paper, magazines, cardboard, boxboard, tin, cans, and bottles, mixed plastics.)
Please conserve energy by turning off heat, lights and television when leaving your room or checking out.
Please place only the towels that need to be washed/replaced in the bathtub and try to reuse towels whenever possible.

Breakfast

We offer breakfast to all guests between 8am and 11am daily. Breakfast is served at our other business Screamers Ice Cream Cafe, located at 7518 Main Street East. Guests staying at The Gateway receive 10% off all purchases made at Screamers.

We also offer traditional espresso and specialty coffees made fresh to order using Oso Negro coffee from Nelson.
